Mens Teams

Perthshire hockey has grown a lot since its origins in the 1970’s. From the initial team Perthshire now fields 3 senior teams and has a very succesful U16 and U18 boys programme that has resulted in very high placings in national competitions in the last couple of years.

Men’s 1s play in National Division 2. The team consists of experienced senior players, but also has benefitted from the youth development programme with a number of past youth players showing significant progress and ability to play at this level.

Men’s 2s play Midlands Division 1 and are a feeder and development team for the 1s. As is the way with all of the Perthshire teams the 2s are a blend of experience and promising youth players, with experienced players providing guidance and support as the players develop their skills and game awareness.

Men’s 3s play Midlands Division 2 which is a development league.. The team is a mainly youth team and for many the 1st step into the senior game from the Perthshire Youth development setup. Organised and supported by experienced players, the teams try to provide a positive environment in Midlands Division 2 to progress players as quickly and as far as they want to go.

The 3s are also a space for new adult players to try their hand at hockey.
